The Research On Problems And Suggestions In The Election Of The Village Committee

The election system of our country is an important part of the national democracy system and the election of the villagers’committee is a key tache to promote the countrymen’s democracy. Since the countrymen’s autonomy was widely exercised in 1980s, there is a big improvement in our countrymen’s democracy. The system of countrymen’s autonomy is to achieve self-management and self-service through a democratic election, democratic management, democratic decision-making and democratic supervision. Now this system has been widely accepted.Democratic election is the starting point and an important part of the villagers’autonomous system. Its implement plays a positive role in improving a rapid development of the countryside. It guarantees villagers’ master status and has a deep influence to move forward the reform of our political system. As we all know, the village committee election has been more and more mature and norm. But because of the complexity of the work, there exist a lot of problems we must pay close attention to.This paper is mainly combined with the author’s work experience in rural area and the 10th general election for village committee of the Xiluo town in Shanxi province will be taken as a case for research.The paper can be divided into four parts. Part 1 is the introduction, to make a general introduction to the paper, including the background, the current situation of the research in this field, the theories and methods used in the paper. Part 2 is to give a brief introduction to the practice of the 10th election in Xiluo and the process. Part 3 is to analyze the problems existing in the village committee election and the reasons behind the problems. Part 4 is to carry out the suggestions.In the process of my research, I was deeply attracted by the works about the village committee election. I believe that my attention will still be made to this ground in the future.
