The group enjoyed a higher political status. The resettlement of veterans was the village cadres and the villagers political task. Macheng county gave them some materials of production and living, and solved thetroubles in their marriage life. Part of the veterans participate in the grass-roots regime, or become a national model in the field of agricultural production. However, many veterans encountered problems in rural, such as the difficulties of life, the contradictions with the village cadres, marriage Disputes. In the other palce of the nationwide, the veterans "petitioned" "troubled" and even suicided. It seem to be full of contradictions and conflicts in the two-way adaptation process.
