Research On The Pension Issues Of Disabled Elderly In China In The Perspective Of Welfare Pluralism

Population aging is a common trend in the world, as the world’s most populous country, China, have shown the trend of an aging population, aging phenomenon is more serious, while the elderly disability rates are also increasing. As vulnerable groups of society, there are some difficulties in the care of disabled elderly, it is determined by the complexity of the disabled elderly. The family is the cell of society, how to solve pension problem which is related to family happiness, social stability and harmonious society building. So, analyzing the disabled elderly pension problems and proposing effective measures have great social significance.In this paper, taking the perspective of Welfare Pluralism, firstly, it outlines the research background and significance. At the same time, on the one hand,introducing the domestic and foreign research literature on the disabled elderly, on the other hand,describing related concepts about disabled elderly and theoretical origins of Welfare Pluralism. Secondly, the paper analyzes current disabled elderly pension problems and the cause of the problem from the perspective of families, governments, institutions and community. Thirdly, analyzing domestic and foreign experience to solve pension problems of disabled elderly, we draw a conclusion that it is necessary to establish long-term care system of disabled elderly combining with China’s national conditions.Finally, proposing concrete measures to solve problems of disabled elderly pension, we hope that it can ultimately solve the pension problems of disabled elderly through the efforts of family, government, market and society.
