The Research About The Path Of National Identity In Contemporary China

Today, national identity is an important issue for multinational country. It relates to national sovereignty, territorial integrity, the consolidation of the border, social stability, economic development and national unity and other important issues. In our country, the construction of national identity mainly influenced by domestic, international, historical, nationality and so on. All these complex factors make our country face many challenges about the issue of construction of national identity. It is widely accepted that China is a united multi-ethnic country in history. It took "the limo policy" to promote citizens’ national identity in history. After the founding of new China, our government takes measures such as promoting coordinated economic and social development, the people’s congressional system, the system of regional ethnic autonomy and training of ethnic minority cadres to construct the citizens’ national identity. Throughout the world of practical experience, the vast majority of nations take some measures, which involved political, economic, cultural, educational, social and other aspects. Specifically, they usually through various measures such as the establishment of core values, national education, national policy support and common effort from all circles of the society. Based on these experiences, we can find it is very useful to cultivate people’s national identity by the force of culture.In addition, the core values are the core content of culture and the most concise of culture. Therefore, the education of core value is the deep path of promote the construction of the national identity. However, in previous studies, they have not given attention about promoting the construction of the national identity. Therefore, promoting the construction of the national identity by the value of the education of core value is the starting point of this article and the result. Also, the education of socialist core values need teach in the system of education. So, it is the important part of the way of promoting the construction of the national identity by the education of socialist core values in this paper.This paper composes of five part, structure and content as follows:The first part, introduction. The second part discusses how important to construct and strengthen the citizen’s national identity in China. The third part primarily discusses the experiences of constructing and strengthening the citizen’s national identity in both China and the major world. The fourth part is the focal point and difficulty part of this paper. It mainly discusses the relationship between the core values construction and strengthen the citizen’s national identity. And the author believed that the core values education is a deep way to promote the construction of national identity in our country. The fifth part focused on how to construct and strengthen the citizen’s national identity by the path of socialist core values education. The author will discuss the specific way, which included school education, publicity and education, family education and social education.
