Study On The Competency Of Political Cadres In The Fire Brigade Squadron Of C City

China’s current research on competency is mainly concentrated in the enterprise management, government officials and university administrative personnel, However, with the development of the situation, the research on competency object is being extended to the police, army officers, and so on. The fire brigade squadron political cadres as the leader of the grassroots squadron party work and ideological and political construction and implementation, the level of the ability and quality of them, directly determines the squadron in the comprehensive construction of quality, plays a pivotal role.Based on the theory of competency, this paper selects the C City Fire Brigade squadron political cadres as the research object, adopts the method of qualitative analysis and quantitative research, and makes a research on the competency of the political cadres of the squadron of C city. Mainly divided into six parts, the first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background, significance and current situation of the research, and puts forward the research ideas, methods and technology roadmap. The second part is the concept definition and theoretical basis. First of all, several key concepts of the paper are defined, and then combined with the post responsibility of the fire brigade squadron of political cadres to sort out the relevant requirements of their ability. At last, combining with the new era of the army construction situation, the paper analyzes the new requirements to the quality of the squadron political cadres, and construct the model of the C City Fire Brigade squadron of political cadres based on the competency onion model.The third part take the C City Fire Brigade squadron of political cadres as the research object, through the issuance of questionnaires, the use of computer software to survey the results of data statistics, classification and other methods, the preliminary C City Fire Brigade squadron of political cadres competency. The fourth part is based on the former part, the author analyzes the performance and reasons of the lack of competency of the political cadres in C city by combining the author’s collection and control in the daily work. In the fifth part, we put forward the suggestions on improving the competency of the political cadres of the squadron of C city. The sixth part is the conclusion and prospect.Through the study, the model of the C City Fire Brigade squadron of political cadres is composed of six dimensions: knowledge, ability, political thought, body and mind, personality, motivation, and forty-six competency quality items. Therefor, it is necessary to combine the competency model of the squadron political cadres, and the relevant competency quality items are applied to the selection, training, performance management and incentive of the squadron cadres.The results of this study can provide reference for the selection and recruitment of the political cadres of the fire brigade squadron, education training, performance management, incentive and so on.
