Research On The Protection Of Social Rights Of China In The Perspective Of UPR

As a result of the reform achievement of the United Nations Human Rights Security Mechanism, the Universal Periodic Review has made a useful innovation in the area of international human rights protection, by its’ universality, authority and complementary. As a member state of the Human Rights Council, China, was under review in 2009 and 2013, the other member states of the Human Rights Council, the institutions of the United Nations system and other relevant stakeholders evaluate the human rights of our country, there are both recognition of China’s human rights advances and opinions or suggestions. They provide an international perspective to review the situation of the human rights of China comprehensively. This thesis will take the Chinese social rights of UPR as the study object, to study the protection of the specific rights in the Chinese social rights from the perspective of UPR.For each specific rights, this thesis will bat around right to social security, the environmental right, the right to health, the right to adequate standard of living in the second round review respectively. According to the condition of review from other parties, this article will make some suggestions to China government. Under the premise of full understanding of social rights protection in China from second review, this article will predict some hotspots in the third round review of China and give some opinions about those hotpots,hope it can be beneficial to the third round review of China.
