More than 90% of the world’s countries have abolished the death penalty of corruption and bribery, but China is of exception.This has aroused great concern from all walks of life in our country, and also opened the way to debate on the death penalty of corruption and bribery.So far, the controversy is still uncertain. The death penalty is to deprive people of the polarity of life. Retaining the death penalty of the crime of corruption and bribery shows the government’s stands and the determination to crack down the crime of corruptiont and bribery. However, since the reform and opening up, the problem of corruption and bribery in our country is still serious. On the contrary, some countries and regions have taken comprehensive measures in the abolition of the death penalty for corruption and bribery,which gains good effect. Under the trend of clear death penalty, it is crucial to think about our countries’ poor criminal system and poor punishment. The dispute about the abolition of the death penalty is lasting.At the beginning of this article, the author briefly introduces the start and development of the the crime of corruption and bribery. Then the author summarizes the different stands and theory. Besides, the author analyzes and research the on the basis of foreign countries’ successful experience.Finally,the author suggest that we should abolish the death penalty.Meanwhile, the author puts forward several countermeasures.
