Graduate students have become part of the leading force in current scientificresearches, taking on the historical responsibility in promoting technology andscience developments. Academic morality has long been the priority concern ingraduate education. In recent years, however, due to more anomie of academicmorality among graduate students, the ministry of education has published severalpolices, including 《Several Opinions on Strengthening Academic Ethics》 and《Opinions on establishing the socialist concept of honor and further strengtheningthe moral construction of academic》, on graduate academic morality. Meanwhile,universities or colleges also have decided their own specific regulations on the sameissue. In our current study, the aim is to reconstruct and improve a long-term systemspecified for current issue in graduate academic morality. We accomplished currentstudy by investigating the fundamental causes for anomie of graduate academicmorality. We also drew on successful experiences in graduate academic moralityconstruction from colleges both domestic and abroad. The methodologicalconsideration of current research is based on a combination of theoretical andempirical studies. Our study is divided into six parts.Part I: Introduction. In the first part, we mainly reviewed current researches onacademic morality. We focused on topics including the background and meaning ofcurrent research, the general content of current research, review studies both domesticand abroad, research method, and the research framework.Part II: Basic concepts and theories on academic morality of graduate education.In the second part, we first clarified the core concepts and related theories onacademic morality of graduate students. For the core concepts, we reviewed anddistinguished between the core concepts, like, academic morality regulation, anomieof graduate academic morality, and the long-term system. For the related theories, weconcentrated on the theoretical foundation, like, self-efficacy theory, humanisticeducation theory, and system management theory. Then we discussed the possibleeffects of various policies on the college academic ambiance, based on both national and within-college policies on academic morality.Part III: Abroad experience on graduate academic morality construction. Bycomparing between United States and several European countries, we discussed theirsimilarities and difference on histories, management philosophy and methods,organizing mechanisms, and optimization of development in graduate academicmorality construction. By thoroughly investigating their past experiences, we try tobuild our own long-term systems.Part IV: Empirical studies on current graduate academic morality. We analyzedcases in which anomie of graduate academic morality occurred. Then, we furtherinvestigated the current situation of graduate academic morality based onquestionnaire survey and interview survey. Subjects are college students from JiangxiProvince.Part V: Further investigation in the causes of anomie of graduate academicmorality. Based on the theories and empirical data, we discussed constrains and theircauses on regulating anomie of graduate academic morality for a better solution.Part VI: Optimized long-term system for graduate academic moralityconstruction. Based on the findings and discussions in previous five parts, weproposed a basic framework of an optimized long-term system for graduate academicmorality construction, based on other-imposed discipline and self-disciplinemechanisms.
