A new round of curriculum reform is a profound reform of education, the teacheris the direct participants in the process of curriculum implementation, is the importantcondition that curriculum reform can be smoothly solid strong knowledge ofdiscipline in the basic teaching quality,teachers is only a good mastery of the subjectknowledge, is likely to organize the teaching content in the teaching better presentteaching knowledge. Understanding of junior middle school chemistry teachers`understanding of chemistry discipline knowledge, for targeted to promote teachers`professional development has important significance.Investigation object in this Investigation is40junior high school chemistryteacher who are participating2013countries cultivating plan in gansu province. Thestudy of the carrier include the valency,substance structure, REDOX reaction,acid,alkali and salt, history of element compounds, organic chemistry, and so on. Thequestionnaire comes from three levels of junior high school,senior high school anduniversity aims to know the knowledge structure of the teachers, moreover, we askedteachers design concept map independently intent to know them. The results showthat:(1)The subject knowledge level of Junior high school chemistry teacher is nothigh, the teachers do not have a good command of high school level knowledge andthe college level knowledge,it reflects the depth of the knowledge is not enough forthe teachers.(2) Different gender, degree and region of middle school chemistry teacher onthe subject knowledge of the situation there is no obvious difference; Different age,teaching age, professional titles of junior high school chemistry teachers in the subjectknowledge situation has obvious differences.(3) In junior high school chemistry teacher about chemistry with "matter" as thetheme of the transverse connection between different knowledge, concepts,understanding, obvious deficiencies.According the investigation result, we suggest that junior middle schoolchemistry teacher should pay attention to the ascend of the knowledge. Besides,increasing teachers’ in-service training about related curriculum for the junior highschool teachers is necessary.
