Along with the advancement of subjective well-being research, more and more researchersbegan to pay a closed attaetion to special groups’ subjective well-being, but the study with the crewof subjective well-being also relatively few.However,our country is a maritime power, focuses onthe crew equal to focuse on the foundation of shipping.In the theory, the research of crews’subjective well-being not only can improve the subjective well-being for the current situation oflacking study on this group, but also can develope of Marine sociology research.In the practice, thecrew is an important subject of ocean industries, to grasp the present situation and problems of thecrews’ subjective well-being will benefit to objectively reflect the current main factors affectingthe crew subjective well-being, and to enhance the level of the crew happiness positivepsychological intervention to provide some reference, to promote the development of ocean in ourcounOtnry t.he basis of subjective well-being scale for Chinese resident (brief),this study compiled thecrew’s subjective well-being scale.At the same time, the researcher choose351crew members as asample in nantong port of Jiangsu to study the subjective well-being of the crew.Basic researchconclusion is as follows:At first,it was testified that subjective well-being scale for Chinese resident had good internalconsistency reliability, and the internal consistency in each dimension was different.The criterionvalidity of the scales was passable,and the structural validity of it was not ideal.The reliability of thesubjective well-being scale for mariners,which revised on the base of subjective well-being scalefor Chinese resident is0.867. Each factor reliability of the scale is between0.757and0.878. Thescale has good convergent validity and differentiate validity and criterion validity.Conclusion:It wasproved that the subjective well-being scale for mariners devised from subjective well-being scalefor Chinese residentwas worth further applying to mariners in China.The second,crew general subjective well-being is in the medium level. In each dimensionsubjective well-being scale for Chinese residents, the lowest experience is content abundant, thehighest experience is growth progress.Crew subjective well-being level is lower than urbanresidents subjective well-being, in the dimensions of growth progress, self-acceptance and mentalhealth, the crew and urban residents get basic convergence points; In the dimensions of confidencein society, the target value, physical health, interpersonal adaptation, family atmosphere andpsychological equilibrium, the significantly score of the crew is obviously lower than urban residents average score. The only scores the crew higher than that of urban residents is satisfiedwith abundant experience.There is no significant difference on the demographic variables of crewoverall well-being in age, level of education, craft, if only and if there is a religious belief.Thereexist significant differences in the marital status, position, mean monthly income, working time andhealth condition.There is no significant difference on age, level of education, working time, if only,if there is a religious belief and health in the dimension of crew emotional experience,but existsignificant difference in marital status, position, monthly average income and craft.There is nosignificant differences on age, level of education, working time and if there is a religious belief onthe dimensions of crew life satisfaction, while there exist significant differences on demographyvariables about marital status, position, monthly average income, type of work,if only andhealth.There are significant differences on the demographic variables of age, level of education,marital status, position, monthly average income, craft, working time, if there is a religious beliefand health in the crew look forward to future dimension, only on whether or not the only childvariable that there is no significant difference.There is no significant difference on age, maritalstatus, if only and if there is a religious belief on the dimension of Crew’s physical and mentalhealth, and there exist significant difference on the level of education, position, monthly averageincome, type of work, working time and health condition.Once again,in ten demography variables, health status, marital status, the degree of educationand religion is relatively important predictor variable to affect the crew subjective well-being.Lifesatisfaction, look forward to future, physical and mental health has remarkable effect onsingle-item subjective well-being scale,in this three dimension,look forward to the future and lifesatisfaction has the highest explanatory power for single-item subjective well-being scale.
