In our country, in middle school political science teaching class serves as a major approach toideological and political education. The research on political science teaching not only helps to improve theteaching technique, but also helps to cultivate qualified successors of socialism in China. For some reasons,political science teaching in high school leaves much to be desired. The most important manifestation isthat the teaching is insufficient in the practical training. The reason is that both teachers and students attachmore importance to the theory of teaching, ignoring the character building teaching and practice. Studentspay more attention to their academic scores than character training. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen thepractical teaching practice, combine the theory teaching with practice to teaching, and improve the students’ideological and moral level. This thesis consists of four parts.The first part is the literature review, practice, practice teaching concept, describes the characteristicsand teaching of political science. As the practice is defined as the guidance, to explore the theoretical basisand practical significance, therefore, further research on the middle school political teaching practice,in-depth understanding of politics teaching. This part constructs the theoretical support.The second part is to elaborate the necessity and importance of the practical teaching of politicalscience in middle school. To carry out the practical teaching is not just an inherent requirement to deepenthe teaching reform, but also an external requirement to adapt to the new curriculum. In the course ofpolitical teaching, teachers are required to increase the proportion of the practical part, which not onlyenhances the effectiveness of political science, helps students put the knowledge into action, but alsoevokes students’ interest in learning. During the process, both students and teachers benefit from practice.Based on the previous two parts, the third part conducts an analysis of present situation of the practicalpolitical science teaching. At the same time, from the various angles of society, school, teachers andstudents, it expands on the existing problems of practical teaching of political science in middle school.The four part puts forward the Countermeasures of further strengthening and improving the practice ofteaching high school politics. Society should bear the responsibility, to create a good public opinionenvironment. The whole country and relevant education departments should also undertake correspondingobligation, make appropriate efforts to practice teaching. The school authority should restructure the evaluation system to back the practical teaching on the whole. Teachers should change their mind and paymore attention to the practical teaching; simultaneously, teachers should be efforts to improve their ownqualities, develop a more practical the teaching resource, adopt flexible and diverse out in the form ofteaching activities. Students themselves play an important role in the practical teaching; they need pay moreattention to the practice, get fully prepared.What is more important,they also need active,involvement ofthe teaching process.
