| Entering into the new century, more attention has been put on thethe compulsory education in Viet Nam, which constitutes the basic stageof the whole education system and has great significance in improvingpeople’s moral and cultural qualities nationwide and providing foundationof the economic development and the fairness of education. Themountainous geography in the northern part of Viet Nam leads to theinconvenience of the traffic and the limitation of the economicdevelopment and cultural interaction. The living standard falls behindcompared with the other places and not enough attention has been put onsolving the most of the problems about the minor ethnic groups’education.It is necessary for the Party and the state to introduce proper educationpolicies to ensure the development of the national education at the samepace. Besides the basic education facilities, the high qualitied andwell-paid teachers are a must in realization of compulsory education.The compulsory education policies is introduced to achieve the goal of compulsory education. In order to establish a law and regulation basisand ensure the high quality of education and provide education for allchildren, the relevant education policies should be introduced to achievethe goal of9-year compulsory education in our country. However, thereare many reasons for the failure of the implementation of compulsoryeducation in the mountainous areas in the northern part of Viet Nam. Atpresent, data comparison method is mainly used to analyze the situationof the compulsory education in the most areas in the country. Fewanalysis is carried out to assess the effects of the relevant educationpolicies, especially in the poverty-strucken regions in the north.Documentary method, statistical analysis method and empiricalanalysis method are applied in the thesis. After analyzing the currentimplementation of the compulsory education policies and existingproblems, the thesis concentrates on learning from the foreign counties’experience to enhance the present compulsory education policies in ourcountry. |
