Chemistry is a natural science based on experiments. Reforming chemistry exerciseinto homework experiments is an effective supplement and extension for chemistryeducation in Junior High School. It is help for to provide more forms of homeworkexercises, to training students ability of doing experiments, and to promote their scientificinterest.In this thesis, the research progress of reforming chemistry exercise into homeworkexperiments have been reviewed. Some chemistry problems in class teaching have beenreformed to homework experiments, and this has been applied into teaching practices. Thefeasibility, necessity, significance, implementation principle, and the matters needing toattention were explained.Through teaching practice, the effectiveness of this education form has been checkedby some methods, such as questionnaire survey, interview, test scores. The results indicatesthat, for improving students interest in science, strengthening the abilities of students ininvestigation and practice, promoting the academic performance, enhancing the relationbetween teacher and students, this reforming practice produce positive effects.
