High school English reading and writing has always been the core issue of high school English. In recent years, with widespread use of combining reading and writing, reading and writing can be combined together, hoping to improve the students’ reading and writing abilities. But how to make reading and writing can closely together organically, is the focus of many high school English teachers’common concern. In this context, the author attempts to use "focus on form " this teaching theory, combined with integration into the reader, and thus carried out a series of studies designed to explore how to improve students’ reading and writing skills.In this study, as an action research, researchers tried to use the "focus on form" theory to direct the reading-writing combination plus using the Snebbing forgetting curve theory, and explored various subject-matters and means of focus-on-form in reading lessons such as focusing on advanced words by questioning and discussion; focusing on how to express different points of view by observation and underlining; and focusing on accurate use of verb tense through minor translation practice.Researchers to collect and compare control class and action class early and late essay, carry out questionnaires and collect a few cases of students’writing and other ways to compare before and after data collection and analysis, compare the action class and control class in English reading ability, writing levels before action, after comparison to examine whether focus on form has an effect on them. The main findings are:First, focus on form can really improve students’English reading and writing skills, especially in the grasp of the subject and the effect of reading material, to understand the facts and subject to elaborate on the details, according to the words and phrases in context to determine meaning of these three areas. Second focus on form is on the use of a certain class range, with the frequency and time-limited, the focus can not begin anywhere, the form can not be endless focus. Third, focus on form needs to be repeated, overnight no benefit in focus on form. Teachers should be based on important difficulties in teaching, focusing on vocabulary, sentence repeated in the form of focus.The results show that the use of reading, writing in "Focus on Form" is effective. Teachers should take different forms in "Focus on Form" which is based on the different requirements of various classes, which will make students’ reading skills and writing skills improved.
