For over30years reform and opening.up, the Chinese economic development has made remarkable achievements. But people did not feel happiness as economic growth and improve. At the same time of economic development, social development problems emerge in endlessly. Environmental degradation, loss of faith, moral landslide, such problems as high house prices, widening income gap is serious affecting people’s well-being.The pursuit of happiness life, marriage and enjoy the progeny family happiness, is the right of every citizen to possess. Existing literature study, such as marital status, number of children, personality, income level and other factors is closely related to people’s happiness level.The purpose of this study is through the literature review summarizes the existing research conclusion, on the basis using the world values survey (WVS) regarding the survey data of China using the econometric analysis regression empirical research method, thus this article research conclusion.The main research content of this article is to explore the correlation of subjective well-being and marital status, birth status. According to the existing literature research, most of the research believed that marriage can improve the level of people’s happiness, namely, married people than unmarried people to happiness. Marriage is not what people think is "the tomb of love", married people are happier. The relationship between fertility status and happiness there is no agreement in academia at present, but in this paper, the research results indicate that fertility condition (children) and there is significant negative correlation between parents’ happiness, an increase in the number of children will significantly reduce the probability of residents reported higher level of happiness.This paper mainly consists of the following parts:the first part of the introduction, this part mainly introduced the paper selected topic background of reality and academic research background and research significance, then introduces the research methods adopted in this paper. Mainly from two aspects of social background and academic background of happiness research background, and from the empirical research and econometric analysis two aspects elaborated the research methods adopted in this paper. The second part mainly is the literature review, this part mainly summarizes, combing and analysis of the existing literature, and related research. Mainly from the return of the economics of happiness research, the concept of happiness definition and measurement methods, China’s current research situation, the influence of marriage on happiness reproductive condition namely child number effect on happiness, and other closely related to and happiness of influence factors, such as age, income, health, employment and other research literature were reviewed. The third part is the empirical analysis, this chapter, the main purpose of this article’s data and variable description, descriptive statistics to carry on the detailed analysis of the relevant variable data, and metering in the existing literature model based on the econometric model is put forward. Then is the result of regression analysis, this part is mainly according to the results of regression and detailed analysis of marital status, the relationship between the number of children and happiness. And based on the regression results based on different marital status effects on fertility and the relationship between the happiness. Finally, according to different income levels respectively analyzes the relationship between the marriage, fertility and well-being. The last part is the conclusion and revelation, in this part of the article based on the results of econometric analysis put forward some conclusions, summary and on the basis of existing literature and in this paper, we study the simple talk about the following the deficiency of this study and future research direction, according to the research conclusion of this paper put forward some feasible suggestions to improve people’s well-being.
