Study On The Investment Management And Operation Of Collage Education Foundation

Higher education has entered the era of popularization; funding shortage is restrictingthe development of higher education that needs to be solved urgently. Despite the fact thatfiscal expenditure of education is growing sustainably these years, we still cannot fill theshortage that caused by the enrollment expansion. Colleges and universities use their ownadvantages financing through endowment and gifts is a creative way to solve their fundingshortage.Education foundation is the carrier of universities’ endowment fund, the main workinclude take donation from society, use various method to manage asset’s, providingscholarships to support universities and its’ students. This paper takes the universityeducation foundation investment management and practice as the research object, usingvarious methods includes literature review method, comparative research method, and casestudy method to launch the research from multiple angles.The first and second part of the paper introduces the research background andsignificance of the research of higher education fund investment operation management,summarizes the research situation at home and abroad in this field, and clarify the researchideas described the research methods, defines the related concepts and the review of theeducation foundation of capital operation theory; the third part uses comparative researchmethod, analyzes the development and characteristics of US, British and other overseasuniversity education foundation’s investment practice; the forth part introduces Chineseeducation foundation’s development, summarizes the university education foundations’structure into three kinds of structure and analyze each structure’s decision mechanism; thefifth part introduces the balanced score card evaluation method, puts forward the possibilityto evaluate the efficiency of education foundation’s investment practice, taking ananonymous university education foundation as a case, introduces it from four factors thatinclude development and structure, investment strategy, investment outcome and riskprevention practices and evaluate it using the balanced score card method; the final partputs forward the existing fund operation and management of domestic university educationfoundation problems and corresponding development suggestions are also given.
