Teacher plays an important role in the whole educational cause, teachers’ teaching effectiveness which reflects the results of teaching activities, deserves to be valued. However, what on earth effects teaching effectiveness? The discussions in the current academic circles mostly in teacher’s intelligence factors such as teacher’s teaching ability and professional qualities, so in the current practical aspect, school pay attention to teachers’ pre-training and post-training. But in reality, interpersonal relationships as teacher’s non-intelligence factors also influence the teaching effectiveness, it affects teachers sense of belonging and professional development. This paper uses 3 theories to support the research, includes the social system theory, the social exchange theory, and the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.This paper choose primary and secondary school teachers in shanghai to carry on this study, sent out 335 copies of questionnaires to the teachers by subject with methods of systematic sample.In the research, we found:1. The relationships between teacher and student, teacher and teacher, teacher and school, and the overall interpersonal relationships are all related with teaching effectiveness being kept in level 0.01.2. Under the teacher-student relationships subject, the content and method of the interaction between teacher and student are related with teaching effectiveness; Under the teacher-teacher relationships subject, social support and emotional needs of the teachers are related with teaching effectiveness; Under the teacher-school relationships, social support and emotional needs of both teachers and school are related with teaching effectiveness.3. Teachers’ interpersonal relationships may differed with teaching effectiveness from gender, age, and education background level. Based on the research results we discussed above, in order to improve the interpersonal relationships in school environment and teaching effectiveness, we offered suggestions for three kinds of the relationships:teacher-student relationships, teacher-teacher relationships, and teacher-school relationships.
