Using Choice-making To Reduce Behavioral Problems Of Children With Autism

With the improvement of the social level and people’s awareness, the concern about behavioral problems of the children with autism are increasing, more and more people want to improve the ability of the children with autism through all kinds of measures and reduce the bad behavior, so that they can be integrated into daily life as soon as possible. Thus reducing behavior problems of the children with autism is the urgent problem. In this paper, researcher used the selection strategy and established related intervention tests, to investigate the effect of making choice on the children with autism. To investigate the effectiveness of its interventions on the children with autism of behavior problems, if it can be an effective measure to reduce the behavior problems in children with autism. The main research work is as follows:It studied a child with autism who studied in an institution of Chongqing. It was carried out that relevant experimental research for its frequent behavior problem pound the table behavior in the classroom environment. In this paper, a single test Irony ABAB experimental is be designed, the argument is an opportunity to make choices, including:(1) Allowing the study object choose the reinforcement through paired stimulus preference assessment;(2) Allowing the study object choose which one to complete firstly for present task;(3)Allowing the children complete the task with teacher’s help or by himself, and they can receive the reinforcement if they can complete by themself. The results show that:1,Making choices have a positive effect on behavior problems of the children with autism;2,Making choices can effectively intervene with avoidance and attracting attention to your behavior of the children with autism;3,Making choices based on the functional behavior assessment can effectively solve the behavioral problems.When interventions the avoidance and attracting attention behavior of the children with autism, we can consider the strategy of choice-making. According to the status of the children with autism, we can determine the content of choice-making.
