Fear is a widespread phenomenon in current society.When confine it to education, we always pay much attention to students’ fear but ignore teacehrs’ fear.Teacher plays a vital role in the development education,whose main duty and responsibility is teaching,so teachers’ teaching fear deserves the attention of the researchers.The start of this research is to define the concept of teachers’ fear. It refers to teachers’ reaction along with unpleasant emotions which caused by uncertain factors that teachers’ faced with. The uncertain factors can be real or expected.Teacher’s teaching fear has many characteristics, the most distinct three points of which are requring teachering context, presenting integrity and individuality and being constructived.According to different causes,teachers’ teaching fear can be divided into three types,they are institutional fear,students fear and fear of lack of nature.Institutional fear caused by fearing educational evaluation in school and fearing system of examining and assessment. Students fear caused by fearing special students and fearing the reaction of the whole students. Fear of lack of nature caused by fearing losing one’s true nature.As a psychological reaction,teachers’ teaching fear present a strong sense of uncertainty mix with inner hope during the process of formation. Apart from negative effects, teachers’ teaching fear also has positive effects.If teacher cannot deal well with teaching fear,it will cause the separate between teachers and students,the separate between teachers,the separate between teachers and their teaching knowledge.While its positive significance is to warn teachers,to promote teacher’s development,to stimulate teachers’ Innovation consciousness,to prove teachers’ love.The key point of this research is to study measures of relieving teaching fear. The important prerequisite is to understand objectively, then to build reflective trust in order to eliminate blind fears that caused by misunderstanding. Communication and conversations can relieve negative teaching fear. Finally, the construction of the education community can take full use of the positive influence of teaching fear.
