With the information age of the humanities requirements continue to increase, the growth of knowledge and improve cultural literacy of reading activities are paid more and more people’s attention. And as a new field of study, positive psychology provide a new research perspective for the students’ reading habits. This paper will elaborate the following aspects.The first part of the paper is "introduction", mainly to talk about the background, purpose and significance. Also it review relevant research about students reading habits at home and abroad as well as domestic and foreign literature review on positive psychology in the field of education in the use of.The second part of the paper is divided into "positive psychology basic meaning", which mainly talk about positive psychology research background and content development, and positive psychology research, including joy, gratitude, serenity, interest, hope, pride, funny, and other incentives, admiration and love a positive emotional experience; creativity, curiosity, judgment, studious, insight and other 24 kinds of positive personality traits; positive organizational systems include family, school and society founder of positive psychology the acquisition of four positive optimistic theory proposed.The third paper is divided into "primary school to develop good reading habits," including the concept of reading habits, reading habits influencing students to develop interest, reading and reading stamina three basic elements, reading the principle that the accumulation of innovation, learning by combining the principles of gradual and orderly progress and the main aspects of the deep sixThe fourth part of the paper is "the current situation of the elementary student’s reading habits and the analysis of existing problems". And the eight primary school students (four boys and four girls) and two Chinese teacher were interviewed,, Then understand elementary student’s curiosity is strong. They are more interested in grants to literature, the brain teasers or children’s comic books, but coach book reading interest is relatively low in learning. Most of the pupils did not get into the habit of taking notes or writing a journal entry. When students meet with difficulties in the process of reading, most of the students choose to ignore. But, overall, every student has more or less certain reading, most pupils chose for a period of time before they go to sleep in the evening or weekend for reading, less than 86% of the students read for half an hour every day,72% of primary school children read a semester 1-3 books, accounting for 23% of the pupils can read four to six books,5% of primary school children can read a semester 7 more than this.
