The new curriculum reform of compulsory education stage in rural area is an important part of the nation elementary education curriculum reform,whose implementation decides the outcome of the national curriculum reform experiment Tongxu county in Henan province has implemented compulsory education curriculum reform or 11 years,and has had some achievements on the change of the new curriculum idea, the adjustment of curriculum structure, teaching way to change the way of learning, school-based teaching and research,and curriculum resources development.However, there are still many problems which is mainly reflected in the following aspects.The teachers strength is weak, the fund of the new curriculum reform is insufficient, the understanding and confidence of the new curriculum is lacking, the teaching can not meet the requirement of the new curriculum reform, teachers feel hesitated between the old and the new teaching mode, and the living situation of stay-at-home children. What has been mentioned above is not conductive to the implementation of the new curriculum reform. Based on the problem mentioned above, some suggestions on pushing forwards of compulsory education stage of the new curriculum, the relevant countermeasures are as follows:strengthening the leadership of government, changing ideas and seeking social support; Increasing capital investment and strengthening the construction of teachers; Increasing the intensity of the new curriculum training, taking the school-based teaching and research and improving the quality of the teachers; establishing the management system and evaluation system adapted with the new curriculum reform ; intensifying the reform of teaching and strengthening curriculum reform efforts; using a variety of channels such as the "home of left-behind children" to do a good job of left-behind children education; and increasing the development of curriculum resources,which based on the local practice.
