Research On Cultivating College Students’ The Core Values Of Socialism

The mainstream values of the contemporary college students is positive, optimistic andenterprising. And they are the future and hope of the motherland. In the21st century, thechinese society has begun to enter the accelerated transition period. On one hand, the idea ofthe college students is more open. In order to realizing their own value, they activelyparticipate the competition of the society. Meanwhile, with the awakening of the rightsawareness, the college students enhance their self-confidence and the responsibility, and theypay more attention to the security of rights and obligations, the justice of the socialenvironment. On the other hand, the rapid development of market economy, the negativeeffect of the network and some incorrect values have a negative impact for the collegestudents. Some unfavorable factors disrupts their values, such as the utilitarian sense, theindividualism, the hedonism, the money worship and so on. The eighteenth congress of theparty puts forward the socialist core values which includes three advocacy. That isprosperity, democracy, civilization, harmony, and freedom, equality, justice, the rule of law,and patriotism, dedication, integrity, friendship, which is the core and the highestgeneralization of socialist core value system. The college students are in the critical periodwhen they form and shape outlook on life and values. It has become an urgent problem to besolved that how to use the socialist core values guide students to establish the correct values.In this paper, according to the theory of socialist core values, combining with thecognition situation on the socialist core values of the college students, the cultivation ofsocialist core values have been studied with the method of materialist dialectics, investigationanalysis and logic analysis. Firstly, on the basis of the view of experts and scholars, theconcepts of value, values, core values, socialist core values have been defined. Theconnotation of socialist core values has been analyzed. Secondly, according to the survey data,the status and of socialist core values of the college students have been analyzed. Thirdly, Theproblems existing in the college students’ socialist core values have been analyzed. Fourthly,according to the existing problems, the causes of the problem has been deeply analyzed.Fifthly, the method of cultivating the socialist core values has been proposed. That is to say,strengthen ideological education, build campus culture, strengthen power of the Internet, playa role model, improve the ability of identifying and develop practical ability.
