Research Objective: Through studying physical exercise behaviors of studentsmajoring in Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Changzhou Normal School of EarlyChildhood Education, the author explores factors influencing their physical activitybehaviors and puts forward solutions and suggestions to solve the problem, in order to helpthe students develop good habits of physical exercise behaviors, improve their physicalhealth, and promote the reform of school physical education.Research Methods: In this paper, the author adopts literature analysis, questionnaireand mathematical statistics and other methods to study physical exercise behaviors of575students(205boys and370girls), from the first grade to the third grade, majoring in EarlyChildhood Education (ECE) in Changzhou Normal School of Early Childhood Education.Research Results: The top three choices of sports for students majoring in ECE arewalking (19.43%), running (12.80%) and badminton (11.99%);58.52%of the studentsexercise less than three times a week;53.78%of the students exercise less than30minutesfor each time;20.04%of the students lack the intensity of each exercise and74.34percentof the students have moderate exercise intensity;64.50%of students choose to exercise inschools;72.06%of the students like to exercise together with their classmates or friends;as for their holiday arrangements, students prefer the Internet (44.25%), shopping(20.98%), reading (16.38%), sports and fitness (13.36%), dating chat (5.03%); the topthree sports motivation are physical fitness (27.13%), the release of pressure (22.95%),body weight loss (21.54%);84.89%of the students do not have exercise plans;40.42%ofthe students think PE lesson just so-so or dislike it;36.56%of the students think thegeneral arrangement of teaching content just so-so or bad;25.30%of the students considertheir PE teacher just so-so or not satisfying;55.72%of the students consider the school sports facilities just so-so or dissatisfying;39.36%of the students think the atmosphere ofthe school physical exercise just so-so or bad;35.68%of the students think their schools donot organize enough sports;29.35%of students think their head teachers object to or donot support their physical exercise;14.23%of students think their families object to or donot support their physical exercise;47.8%of students consider the exercise atmosphere oftheir families and communities just so-so or bad; the top four factors affecting students’exercise behaviors include: weather and environment (15.33%), work burden (13.59%), nosuitable venue (13.22%), laziness of themselves (10.17%).Research Conclusions: ECE students have a relatively decentralized choice of sportsitems. They prefer aerobic exercises which require less sports skills and sports facilities,like walking, running, badminton, etc. They lack enough weekly exercise frequency,exercise intensity and exercise time. The majority of students can meet the standards ofsports population, but there is still a wide gap between the national requirement "exerciseone hour a day"; most students choose schools for training places; most students prefer toexercise with classmates or friends; Internet has become the most preferred holidayarrangement; student exercise motivation, physical education setting, choice of teachingcontent, physical education teachers’ teaching style and level, school sports facilities,sports organizations, head teachers’ attitudes, parents’ attitudes and community sportsexercise atmosphere and so on have different effects on physical exercise behavior ofstudents; the top four factors affecting students’ exercise behaviors include: weather andenvironment, work burden, no suitable venue, laziness of themselves.
