Due to their particularity, the children in welfare homes are under the attentionof the society from all walks of life.Disabled children in welfare homes in our countrymainly are nurtured by the welfare homes, and family foster care is supplementary.Welfare homes for children care is focused on the conservation, providing thecomprehensive care and management on children clothing, food and other living lifeaspects.However, in terms of children psychological health and personality molding,welfare homes remains to be perfect.Because the welfare homes are raising childrenwith the residential management mode, children are without proper soil to develop theindependent consciousness and ability, which lead the children to being in a state ofthe low autonomy.In this paper, the research mainly use the theories and methods ofadvantage theory,and children welfare home in C city as a case,analyze the orphanagechildren autonomy situation, put forward that welfare home children low autonomycan be attributed to two aspects: the lack of autonomy consciousness and theautonomy ability.In order to solve this problem,from the advantage perspective, wecarry out a working group to intervene in children autonomy development,tocultivate children self-confidence,helping the children to set up their consciousnessand the ability of self reliant,self claims and self-control,and to evaluate the result ofthe intervention.In this thesis,the first part introduces the background of the research,significance of the research, literature review and methodology. In the second partfrom the perspective of social work, analyze the current welfare home childrencondition of autonomy.Children welfare home in C city as the researchobject,concretely analyze the main reasons of the low autonomy of orphanage children from two aspects:the lack of independent consciousness and ability.Theblocks from all sides give rise to the children autonomy lacking of suitable soil.Ifthings go on like this,the development of children future life will be caused adverseeffect.In the third part,from the advantage perspective,Group activities scheme isdesigned,and assessment team activities. Using professional social work methods andtechniques,under the guidance of theories,design six group activities.In thisprocess,group dynamics, need theory, cognitive learning theory and social ecologicaltheory are used,effectively to inspire children independent consciousness andability.The forth part is conclusion and rethinking. On the basis of summarizing theexperience and the insufficiency in group activities,rethink that on the way dealingwith the low autonomy of the welfare home children,in addition to the professionalintervention of social workers,we also need the joint efforts of the staff of law andpolicy, the government, all the workers in the welfare home and the childrenthemselves,to provide a favorable environment for the development of childrenautonomy.
