The Value Reach Of Ancient Family Precepts For Modern Family Education

Yan’s Family Precepts and Zengwenzhenggong Family Precepts are taken as example in this essay, from the education and the methodology of these two Family Precepts analyzing the evolution of modern family education, andthe main problem on modern homeeducation for their children, through which obtain the value of modern family home training education. This research based on literature analysis, supplied by observation, interviews, cutting problemmulti-angled.Yan’s Family Precepts and Zengwenzhenggong Family Precepts are the classic representatives of ancient family precepts. As family precept, it is a unique and important form in Chinese culture and as literary works and historical works it is the critical information for research on ancient Chinese home education.In this paper, two typical Family Precepts are taken as a starting point to study their value to modern home education, and extract the classic, the effective, and the ideological content and teaching methods consistent with today’s home education, hoping to guide home education and re-shaping features of modern home education.The study is divided into four parts, The first part is introduction, stating the problem, the purpose and the significance of research as well as the current situation of domestic and abroad research, relevant concept s and methods.The second part chiefly presents the main contents of Yan’s Family Precepts and Zengwenzhenggong Family Precepts, the ideology and social basis, education belief and methodology. This partis the fundamental and breakthrough point of the article. This part pave the way for the later discussion of modern family education.The third part mainly analysis the transformation and development situation of family instructions on the modern family education.The educational level of parents, education idea, their education mode,the importance degree on family education of school,the influence of companions,the social system and social atmosphere all related to the infiltration of modern family education on family instructions.In the mean time,family instructions have problems on the form and content of modern family education,such as the softness of moral education, the weakening of methods on governance and management of the people,the softness of teaching attitude and blunt education methods etc.The fourth part is the last chapter and the key section of this paper, based on the effect of education and previous content of the two family instructions, this paper proposed the value on modern family education of “Yan Family Instructions”and“Zeng Wen Zhenggong Family Instructions”.
