Graphics and geometry is one of the four part of the junior middle school mathematics curriculum, the teaching of geometry is one of the major challenges facing the junior middle school mathematics teacher, because here is the emphasis of teaching, is also the biggest difficulty when students. Mathematics curriculum standards also repeated on the teaching design and geometric part of the requirements change, focus on the cultivation of students’ concept of space, geometric intuition and reasoning ability. The difference of students’ thinking development from learning geometry after becoming extremely obvious, there are a lot of students on the geometric part of learning is not good, so the learning of mathematics lost confidence, even weariness. So the geometry teaching design is particularly important, while Vancil’s level of geometric thinking theory is relatively mature theoretical geometry teaching now. This thesis aims to use the geometric thinking level theory to construct the Vancil papers, from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region two junior high school grade eight students as the research object, the investigation and analysis of geometric thinking level of students in grade eight and to what degree, and through interviews and questionnaires to understand the students encounter in learning geometry in question, as teachers in the geometric part of the teaching help. The survey results show that the students of grade eight in the Inner Mongolia area of the level of thinking most at 3- level, the existence of difficulty problem geometry teaching us, not to help students in all levels of smooth transition. Through the study found: the geometric thinking level test results in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Chifeng city between eight grade 640 students, can achieve 5- level 58 people, accounting for 9% of the total. Only reached 4- level 128 people, accounting for 20% of the total. Only reached 3- level 275 people, accounting for 43% of the total. Only reached 2-level 128 people, accounting for 20% of the total. Only reached 1- level 51 people, accounting for 8% of the total. Geometrical thinking the development of students is not good, that is the teacher in the teaching of geometry is not good to help students to high level transition.
