The Analysis Of Chinese Men’s Basketball Team’s Offensive And Defensive Index In The 17th Asian Games

Since YaoMing retired, the overall strength of the Chinese men’s basketball team fell slightly, technical and tactical style change a lot. With the West team’s rise and the use of naturalized players, the men’s basketball team of Asian improve steadily the overall level, so that the Chinese team in Asia has no absolute advantage. In recent years, the performance of the Chinese men’s basketball in the world and Asia’s arena is not satisfied who 2013 in the 27 th Asian Championship was defeated by Chinese Taipei unexpectedly then missed the semi-finals. It is the worst record since the Chinese men’s basketball team has participated in the Asian Championships. 2014 in Incheon Asian Games the Chinese men’s basketball staff were made a major adjustment, with an average age of only 22 the young team participated in the Asian Games, finally they failed in the game with the Japanese team and it also created the worst record. Well, how was the behavior of this young team specifically in Incheon Asian Games, what technical and tactical characteristics are there, what are the advantages and disadvantages during the game? In this paper, which is based on offensive targets data of the games in the17 th Asian Games, that the Chinese men’s basketball game played with the rivals,we use Deviation Evaluation Method, T Test, Chi-Square Test and other statistical methods to analyze the offensive and defensive index of the games, in which the Chinese team has won and lost, played with the team of different technical and tactical style and it also include the key games, then we arrive at the following results:(1) The average height of Chinese men’s basketball team is the highest among all the teams, which has a great height advantage, however their average weight is relatively poor, they suffer more physical confrontation. On the other hand the average age is too small, the age structure is irrational, the players have relative less game experience, poor psychological quality and at the key moment itis difficult for they mentality to adjust the game.(2) For Chinese men’s basketball team it is good that the two-point shooting and the number of hits is more stable, the main reason for losing the game is that the pointers and free throw percentage is low, the times of the three-point shot is too many, the ability to draw fouls is worse than the opponents and there are too less free throw attempts.(3) unreasonable attack organization, imperfect tactical system, less understanding team cooperation, more outside shooting, not taking full advantage of the height advantage.
