"The problem is the heart of mathematics, problem solving is the core of mathematics education”. Since ancient times, the learning of mathematics is found in the problem, analyze and study problems and solve problems. To solve mathematical problems is a compulsory course for all teachers and students and the fundamental guarantee for good mark. Mathematics learning is meant to solve math problems, understand and deepen the recognition of definition theorem and experience teaching thought in the process of problem solving and promote the problem-solving ability on the basis of increasing the teaching thinking.If students majored in mathematics from normal universities want to be a good teacher, a certain level of problem-solving ability is very necessary. after four years of specialized course learning and training, their problem-solving ability should be improved. However, in the process of checking data, questionnaire and interview, intern teachers are not satisfied and students themselves feel ashamed of their problem-solving ability. Therefore, to understand math major students’ problem-solving ability is imminent. In view of the objective conditions, this article mainly makes a research for students with specialized mathematics of Harbin normal university.This article will make a research from the following questions:1. The definition of mathematical problem-solving ability2. The survey of current students’ problem solving ability of mathematics in Harbin normal universities3. Analysis of the mathematical problems existed in the students of Harbin normal university4. Analysis of the students of mathematics in Harbin normal university and the cause existed in the problem solving. Mainly from two aspects of objective and mathematics teachers and their own reasons analysis. School, middle school, the influence of the exam-oriented education, the course of mathematics in Harbin normal university to cultivate, the influence of the mathematics teacher’s lecture way and problems of university teaching. Mathematics students’ employment direction is not clear, normal university students do not pay attention to elementary mathematics curriculum and the problem-solving ability of exercise.' Aim at Harbin normal university mathematical problems existed in the professional teachers and put forward the proposal. Open employment guidance course, take career planning, enhance professional identity, improve the importance of elementary mathematics course, strengthen the problem solving theory study and cultivate practical problem solving ability, innovative teachers’ teaching concept, strengthen the normal, establish the elementary mathematics research question bank organization and establish a platform to promote communication with a line of teachingThe innovation of the research:This article is from the perspective of a certain region, targeted on a survey of the region of college mathematics students’ problem solving ability, this is not mentioned in the previous related article, so the researching aspect of this article is still relatively new. This text set from mathematics students’ problem solving ability and make an analysis of the present students’ status of problem. Teach students from the Angle of the problem solving process of thinking and problem solving ability, which is the different from other studies. Problem solving ability is one of the most important professional quality of teachers and it is practical for teachers and students to form the problem solving ability and know employment guidance, which will become the contribution to the education career.
