This study used the questionnaire method to explore the relationship between the meaning in life and learning motivations from 345 college students firstly, then chose 24 subjects of low meaning in life, randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group got the group counseling of the meaning in life, while the control group got the group counseling of nothing to do with the meaning in life. After the group counseling, the pro-test and post-test data of two groups would be analyzed for discuss the intervening effects on learning motivation of the group counseling. To find out the continuity of the intervening effects, a tracking survey on the experimental group was done after three months.The results show that:1. The meaning in life and learning motivation existed significant correlation.2. In the experimental group, the group counseling of the meaning in life could improve the meaning of life, and learning motivation could be raised indirectly; but the difference was not significant in the control group.3. The group counseling of the meaning in life showed followed-up effects on improving the meaning in life and the learning motivation of the experimental group.
