As a product of teaching curriculum reform, chemistry textbook plays a very important role in the curriculum reform, which is not only the main tool for teachers and students to engage in teaching activities, but also a concrete manifestation of the course objectives and contents. In order to meet the requirements of the times and scientific progress, the current round of chemistry curriculum reform have made some changes for the chemical teaching materials, especially the publishment and use of three different versions of current high school chemistry experiment textbooks "chemical reaction principle" (elective), fully embodying the reform trends and reform priorities with the guidance of new curriculum concept. For the current three versions of "chemical reaction principle" textbooks, they feature their own characteristics in the contents, structures and presentations. As a result, this paper has made a systematic and comparative analysis, in order to benefit the first-line high school chemistry teachers to understand and master the contents of teaching materials, accurately grasp teaching scales, better implement the new chemistry curriculum teaching. The paper firstly analyzed the development of chemical teaching materials at home and abroad, and then attached an importance to current research status for the "chemical reaction principle" of our country. On the basis of extensive literatures by the older generation and the comprehensive development theory, pragmatism and humanities theory, the paper made an overall comparative analysis to the three versions of the "chemical reaction principle" textbook. This paper is mainly divided into three parts for the comparative analysis of the three versions of textbooks. Firstly, with the guidance of "ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standards (experimental)", the paper made a comparison of the three versions of textbooks with the guiding ideology of curriculum standards as well as the specific contents, structures, styles, column settings and so on; Secondly, taking "chemical reaction rate" module in curriculum standards for example, the paper made a comparative analysis for the ways of compiling and detailed sections of the same module in the three versions of textbooks; Finally, the paper analyzed the complexities of the three versions of textbooks with the same chapter of "chemical reaction rate" as an example. Then, we chose teachers and students in different schools which adopted the three different versions of textbooks respectively and carried out a questionnaire survey, and therewith analyzed the results. Based on the analyses and findings above, the paper obtained the analysis results and made some recommendations on the compiling and adoption of the three versions of textbooks. On the basis of the comparison and analysis to some related issues of the current three versions of "chemical reaction principle" elective module, it hopes some foundations and suggestions are made for teachers to choose and use the elective modules of "chemical reaction principle"; at the same time, it hopes that the researches of this paper can provide teachers new research ideas or frameworks for the secondary development and creative integration of textbooks.
