The World Cup is the most authoritative football game in this world.2014 World Cup in Brazil has brought together the world’s highest of football team. This article in view of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil all 64 games were studied. The referee in the game calls 184 yellow cards and 10 red cards as the research object. Trying to find out the basic condition of yellow cards and red cards in the World Cup football games. In order to supply the corresponding theory data for different levels team, coaches and referees. The mainly research method of this article are documentary method, video statistics method, expert interview method and comparative method. In view of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in all 64 games referee decisions about data of red and yellow statistical induction and analysis, trying to find out the regularity and characteristics.1. The referees totally punish 184 yellow cards and 10 red cards in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil all 64 games, the average is 2.88 per game. Compared with the last five World Cup finals, this tournament is the least number of cards.2. The largest number of time periods of yellow cards and red cards is 61 to 75 minutes in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The number of the second half referee punish yellow cards more than the first half. There are more than one yellow card in every game, the first yellow card of every game is before 75 minutes. Compare with yellow cards distribution, red cards are more average, there are 5 in the each half of game.3. The actions of the cards take place in almost every area of the field in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. There is most times of cards in the midfield area, more than wide. Red card penalty is relatively scattered, but the middle number is more.4. Halfback players are awarded the most number of yellow and red cards, the second is defenders.5. As far as possible, reducing the negative impact for players themselves and team.3. Coaches should improve their ability to cope with change, response to the emergence of the yellow and red cards in time, and to adjust quickly.4. Referees should analyze the characteristics of yellow and red cards basis of fully understanding the rules spirit. Improving the skills of recognizing the fouls and yellow cards and red cards. Enhancing foresee ability to football games.
