Studies On College Students’ Identification About Socialist Core Value System Under The Multicultural Background

The report of the 18 th National Congress pointed out “The socialist core value system is the soul of revitalizing the country, which decides the developing direction of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.” The socialist core value system is the spirit banners of guiding the advancing direction of the Chinese nation, the spiritual power of promoting overall development of economic society and the spiritual ties of maintaining social unity and harmony. The young college students at the period of ideological maturity, as socialist builders and successors, are the hope of the country and the future of the nation. Therefore, strengthening the attractiveness, charisma and cohesive of socialist core value system for the young college students, so as to promote their value identification and consensus on it, is the most important task of the construction of socialist ideology and morality, which has much great significance for the steady development of the country and the college students’ healthy growth.This essay which takes the multi-culture as the background for researching and bases on examining the development process of social multicultural history, clarifies the meaning of the multi-culture and analyzes the transformation of contemporary college students’ value concept at the background of multi-culture. It proposes that colleges must strengthen the college students’ value identification and consensus on the socialist core value system in the era of multi-culture of collision of ideas. Through a questionnaire survey, the essay analyzes and summarizes the current situation of the students’ identification on the socialist core value system, searches the challenge that multi-culture to that at the background of the multi-culture and makes the mandate and significance of that clear. On the issue of how to enable the college students to produce value identification on the socialist core value system, the essay first puts forward the four principles that the students should adhere to their identification on the socialist core value system at the background of the multi-culture, and then combines closely with the present situation of Chinese social development and the reality of ideological and moral education at colleges. From five aspects including the present condition of society, campus culture, practical platform, traditional culture and network security, the essay raises to strengthen the realistic route about the students’ value identification and consensus on the socialist core value system at the background of the multi-culture.
