The Study On Love And Marriage Education Of Contemporary College Students

In contemporary China, for college students, how to build a kind of healthy marriage concept, how to maintain harmonious marriage relationships in real life and establish a stable, happy family are very important to construct a harmonious society, and maintain good operation of society. In March 2005, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China issued new Regulation of Student Management in Colleges, and deleted the terms on the marriage of the college students, along with which the phenomenon of college students get married is intensified. The results of this study includes how to guide them to set up healthy and rational opinions about love and marriage, at the same time, as the strength of social construction and the persons who will get married in the future, improving the effectiveness of education about love and marriage has obvious practical meaning for them. At the same time, through the analysis and judgment, this study would have preventive function for the future possible social problems related to the love and marriage. Therefore, understanding and studing the college students’ marriage education, understanding the present love and marriage situation of college students, discovering the problems which exist in the education of love and marriage of college students, and finding the effective ways for college students’ marriage education are very necessary.This study firstly introduces the related theories to college students’ love and marriage, through theoretical knowledge such as sociology, pedagogy, psychology, and combining with the current problems of college students’ marriage cases to illustrate the importance of college students’ marriage education. And then, according to the results of the questionnaires, this study focuses on the manifestation and characteristics of the vaule of college students’ love and marriage, including the views on spouse-selection, love, sex, marriage and childbearing, then summarizes problems and makes an analysis on these problems. At the same time, I make interviews with college teachers, counselors and psychological consulting room staff about love and marriage. From implementing subjects, the contents of education and the implementation ways, I make an analysis on the present situation of marriage education in colleges and universities, the existing problems and reasons. At last, by summarizing the vaule of college students’ love and marriage, the existing problems and reasons in present situation, this study put forward five measures to enhance college students’ marriage education — updating the idea of education, strengthening the construction of campus culture, improving the higher education evaluation system, setting the regulations of love and marriage and optimizing the ways and methods of marriage education in order to guide and help students establish the correct views of love and marriage, and promote the healthy growth of college students. This is not only the need of social harmony and stability, but also the important guarantee of national security.
