It is worthy of the name to call table tennis China’s "country ball" since it is extremely high in folk penetration rate in China. And it is reasonable to say China will become a world-class powerhouse in table tennis if we have a review of the world records that China’s table tennis athletes has achieved.In accordance with the rule of sports development, any sports should be based on its popularization in the mass, by which development path can be obtained in popularity. However, we can see historically that the mode for Chinese table tennis is based on "the development of the whole nation system". The echelon construction for national table tennis team, provincial and local professional team, as well as the popularity of national table tennis sports go forward in a quite different way, forming the so-called, "you go your way, I’ll do mine", the two-track development path, which violates the sport to promote national fitness purposes.By way of literature method, the thesis makes a deep study to a large number of collected materials dealing with those problems. And it tries to find out problems of "double tracks", existed in the development of table tennis sports in China, which those factors are found to be unfavorable to the development of table tennis.Starting from the perspective of sports marketing, this paper gives interpretation to the basic rules of sports industrialization by employing core marketing theory and innovative developmental law of 4P,4C and 4R. Based on these theories as the guiding ideology, some improvement measures and beneficial suggestions on the development and improvement of table tennis in the future of China have been put forward, trying to explore a more comprehensive, harmonious and scientific way for the development of table tennis sports in our country through the study of this article.
