Floating population as social economic phenomenon of national economy, plays a pivotal role in politics and culture. The migration is influenced by unique household registration system and huge population basic in our country which is different from a the western countries. In China, mainly of the migration is under the guidance of the employment population flow process. China population development report 2015 shows that until the end of 2014, the total number of China floating population is 2.53 million people, more than one sixth of China’s total population. Now chinese floating population growth is slowing, and during the "Twelfth Five year" period. Such a large scale became the first one need to be concerned about. Because the employment problem is the most basic livelihood issues. The economic growth of Northeast China is also inseparable from the great contribution of the floating population, the current population brings a positive impact on economic growth. At the same time the society and increasingly prominent social fusion problem is also of concern. The social status of the floating population is still not improved, children education, health care and a series of basic living conditions have not been guaranteed, which are in urgent need to solve. With the help of China migrant population dynamic monitoring data in 2013, I analysis the status of northeast area of floating population and their employment. On the basis of these I also analysis the factors of the employment status of floating population in northeast area. The basic situation of the floating population including floating population natural structure and social structure and spatial structure. Using cross tabulation analysis method we know that in Northeast, the floating population has more men than women, to the young and low educational attainment, mostly in marriage, agricultural population accounts for most and across the province city flowcharacteristics. In the analysis of the employment situation of migrant population in Northeast China, it is mainly analyzed from four aspects: employment status, industry and industry distribution, employment status and monthly income. Through analysis, the floating population in Northeast in the employment status of women less than men;employment population mainly in the wholesale and retail; employment status to employees; employment income mainly distributes in the 1001~2000 yuan and2001~3000 range.Based on the descriptive analysis, this paper uses LOGISTIC regression model and Logit regression model to analyze the employment status of floating population in Northeast China. Through the analysis, the influence factors of employment status of floating population include gender, education level, marital status and household distribution. Gender, registered permanent residence and domicile distribution has significant effects on the distribution; select employees or self-employed workers move and employers and self-employed laborers influencing factors are also different;the factors to improve the level of income is not the same. After this,I also analysis the floating population employment and income factors in Liaoning Province, Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province. Found in Liaoning Province and Jilin Province floating population employment and income factors had little difference, and the other province’s floating population employment status and income influence factors and the other two provinces with large differences.Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis, to solve the problem of employment of floating population we need to promote the vocational and technical education, promote the development of the third industry, encourage the innovation of floating population and promoting the equalization of basic public services of urban resident population.
