Applied Research Of Data Mining In The Analysis Of Students’ Test Scores

With the booming development of information technology, especially computer and networking technology,the Data mining or Knowledge Discovery technology arises. This results from the fact that people has been devoted to exploring and researching into the database technology. Users who take advantage of the Data mining can not only access and query the data available, but also they can tap the potential of information from amounts of data information by means of the specialized data mining platform. However, the situation in the application of Data mining is not optimistic in the field of middle school education. Nowadays, most of the Academic affairs office have accumulated a large amount of students test data. But they merely do some simple operations, such as query and deletion, which don’t give full play to the role of these data should be.The paper first introduce the research background and current situation of the development of data mining technology at home and abroad. Based on the samples of the test data of a middle school,then it carries out mining and analysis and build a cube through the data integration, data cleaning,data conversion and data protocol.By means of data mining software SPSS Modele, the article analyses the test data and build a prediction model of total score based on neural network in an effort to find the influence degree of each factor in the total score results. What’s more, we attempt to find out the associated discipline between the students grades of different subjects, between the age, between grades and gender. In the end, the paper draw some conclusions. These conclusions are helpful to summarize the new evaluation standard, and improve teaching methods, and guide students to enhance learning methods, thus improving the use efficiency of the test data.
