So the content of civic awareness and civic education are more abundant, mainly for the nation and world consciousness, the consciousness of democracy and the rule of law, social participation consciousness, moral consciousness, ecological and environmental awareness training. Its core content is still a democratic political education, especially the education of civil rights awareness, and encourage citizens to participate more in practice. Civic education and democracy of the benign operation of civil society and the healthy development are closely related, it should be incorporated into the national education system and is the basis of the status, at the same time, vigorously develop citizen education is to speed up the construction of socialist democratic politics, an important way to enhance the comprehensive national strength.Civic education has not yet formed in China. Civic education has a strong association with the history teaching. At the same time, history class needs to inject fresh vitality.Properly introducing civic education content and the historical knowledge fusion, makes the history course has more distinct realistic color, and for today’s social services, for the growth of young people is a qualified citizen service. Civic education also need to find a suitable carrier, the two in the educational objectives and content have great similarities, therefore, history teaching can become an important channel for School Civic education. Under the current education system, textbook is still one of the main sources for students to acquire knowledge. Therefore, the civic education and the integration of high school history teaching in the process shall first from textbooks to fully tap the related curriculum resources. Three of the required history book contains a lot of civic education, such as how to develop high school students’ national identity sense, democracy consciousness, environmental awareness, world consciousness and pays attention to the reality, advancing with the times of insight, and so on.
