Chinese can not be separated from reading, reading is the key to language. Chinese Reading Teaching in senior high school should guide students to acquire knowledge and cultivate their pragmatic competence through reading. However, according to a number of surveys, as well as the specific circumstances of the specific circumstances, we can learn that the current high school reading teaching exists some problems, which lead to the low quality of reading teaching. In order to improve the quality of the teaching of reading, this paper takes the high school language reading teaching as the research object, mainly from the current high school Chinese Reading Teaching of middle school students’ pragmatic competence and the lack of reading teaching rigid, alienation, virtual aspects of current high school reading teaching existence question, and in-depth analysis of these problems. It points out the root of the problems and the ways to solve these problems. Through the investigation method of the questionnaire, it is concluded that the reading teaching in high school should cultivate students’ pragmatic competence, and on this basis it further illustrates the contents and strategies on the cultivation of pragmatic competence.In this paper, from high school reading teaching, we’ll break through the barriers of the teaching mode of reading in the past, find new methods under the guidance of new ideas and improve students’ pragmatic transfer ability by reading.The paper is composed of the introduction, literature review, main body and the conclusion. It is divided into three parts.The first part: Ask questions from the defects existing in the teaching of reading in high school today and the importance of pragmatic competence, clarify the relationship between reading teaching and pragmatic competence and point out the teaching of Chinese reading in high school should cultivate students’ pragmatic competence.The second part: Capture the main content of the cultivation of pragmatic competence in the four aspects, including stimulating the students’ interest in reading, teaching students reading methods and paying attention to students’ reading ability analysis.The third part: Put forward the specific strategies of reading pragmatic development according to the current situation and thinking.Conclusion: Conclude the full text and look forward to the cultivation of pragmatic competence in the teaching of reading for the Chinese education into the vitality of life.
