In the English writing teaching of senior high school, assessment criterion is mainly the summative test. The main focus is on the test results, but ignores the learning process. It does not benefit to truly improve students’ writing ability. Besides, the Ministry of Education pointed out that the cultivation of students’ initial writing ability is one of the aims of English teaching. Therefore, teachers need to explore new teaching models and assessment methods of writing in a planned way to train and improve students’ writing level.During the research process of this study, a classroom writing teaching mode which is “pretest-mediation-posttest” based on dynamic assessment(DA) is used to collect relevant data by the methods of comparison, description, qualitative and quantitative research, and use SPSS software to analyze the collected data and explore the following questions:Firstly, will DA-based writing teaching improve students’ attitudes in English writing effectively?Secondly, can DA-based writing teaching promote the development of students’ writing achievement effectively in senior high school?Two classes of Grade Two are respectively chose, there are 90 students which are from No.2 middle school of Zezhou in Shanxi province. Class 3 is assigned as the experimental class and Class 4 is assigned as the control class. Questionnaire is used as the main method and interview is used as the supplementary method to investigate the answer to the first question. The writing part of the final exam in the last term is regarded as a pre-test. In the experimental class, adopt DA-based writing teaching method into the process of classroom writing teaching. In the control class, the traditional and static assessment writing teaching method is used. In the end of the semester, the final exam of this semester is regarded as a post-test compared with the pre-test, and use software SPSS to analyze the experiment data and explore the answer to the second question.Through analyzing, it can effectively demonstrate that the use of dynamic assessment in English writing teaching can improve students’ attitudes in English writing and promote their English writing performance effectively. The study can not only provide a good English writing teaching method for English teachers, but also an innovation of English writing teaching. It is hoped that this teaching method can be extended to a wide range of teaching practice in order to improve teaching effect and students’ English writing level.
