Major identity reflects the degree of acceptance and the level of emotional attitude of students. The major of preschool education, in recent years, as a emerging major which develops rapidly in normal colleges. The status and existing problems of its major identity has received more and more attention. To a large extent, the level of students’ major identity affects the achievement of the cultivation goal of preschool education major in Normal Colleges and the growth of preschool teacher organization. On this basis, this study mainly uses the literature method and investigation method, based on the existing research, through the survey questionnaire which has good reliability and validity for the preschool education students’ major identity and non structured interviews, take 557 students in Huazhong Normal University, Hubei Normal University, Hubei University of Education, Huanggang Normal University who are majoring in preschool education as the sample for the survey, through analyzing the characteristic of major identity of preschool education students and the differences in demographic variables, and explore the influencing factors of preschool education students’ major identity development, and puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures, in order to provide some reference for future research on the major identity of students majored in preschool education. Related research conclusions are as follows:1. Preschool education students’ major identity scores and major cognition, major emotion, major pay three scores are at the level of NO.2,which indicates that the preschool education students’ major identity overall in the middle level.2.Different gender of preschool education students present significant differences in the scores of major emotion.3.Different grades of preschool education students present significant differences in major identity scores and scores of major emotion.4.Different volunteer choice of preschool education students present significant differences in major identity score and the score of each dimension.5.Different major understanding degree, different learning achievement students and students whether as a class cadre or not present significant difference in major identity score and each dimension score.6.Different family economic status of preschool education students present significant difference in major identity score and major emotional dimension scores.7. The analysis of influence factor questionnaire show that the major teachers’ level, major support, major employment status have significant linear relationship with professional identity score and each dimension, but the variation of interpretation is not high, which means that major teachers’ level, major support and major employment status are only parts of the factors which affecting students’ major identity.8.Non structured interview results analysis that the motive of the students choice of major, students’ characteristics and major suitability, major teachers’ level, curriculum, major learning support, major employment status are the factors which affect preschool education students’ major identity level.
