According to the related theory and research, there is a close relationship between higher education and industrial transformation, with human capital and knowledge related to bond. At present, our country is in the critical period of accelerating the adjustment and optimization of the economic development mode, and strengthening the strategy of "revitalizing the nation through science and education" is imminent. Therefore, it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to study the interaction, and to promote the sustainable and healthy development of China’s economy.Therefore, systematic and comprehensive research on the interaction effect and the influence degree between higher education and industrial transformation of our country is of important theoretical significance and practical value.Based on the existing relevant research results, this paper firstly analyzes the influence mechanism of higher education and industry transformation, Higher education can promote industrial restructuring and upgrading by providing high-quality talents and optimize the knowledge structure and individual rate of return to education of labor force,in turn, the industries transformation and upgrading can drive higher education in the aspects of scale, structure and quality by providing material resources, increase demand,and direct discipline adjustment, in order to adapt to the needs of economic and social development.Then, according to the situation of our country’s higher education and industrial development, using the relevant statistical data of 1978~2013 years, researched the effect between higher education development and industrial transformation and upgrading of our country. Firstly, higher education and industrial transformation is divided into 7dimensions, construct the index system, and to calculate the index, On this basis, making Johansen co-integration test and Granger causality test, Then constructed the SVAR model and made the impulse response function analysis and variance decomposition, Results show that there is a co-integration relationship and granger causality relationship between the 7 variables of this study selected, and the variables of higher education and industrialtransformation and upgrading can influence each other, but the impact effect of the higher education various variables to the variables of industrial transformation and upgrading ups and downs, positive influence was not significant, the largest contribution is no more than15%, and in most cases is less than 10%, however, in the short term, the influence of the industrial transformation and upgrading to higher education is promoting, and the contribution is relatively large.Finally, this paper uses generalized production function model to estimate the rate of contribution between the development of higher education and industrial transformation and upgrading, it is concluded that the contribution rate of industrial development to higher education is 22.41%, while the higher education to industrial transformation is 2.38%,relatively small.
