With regard to the development of China’ s badminton, the singles always remain the superior and dominant place. However, the development of singles is not always stable. Among Chinese players, Chen Long is the most competent player in recent years. However, players from other countries, including Lee Chongwei from Malaysia, the Danish player Jorgensen (World Rank No. 5) and the young talented Danish player Axelsen (World Rank No. 6), have continuously posing challenges on Chenlong and other players from China, rendering them difficult to keep their ranks. As a result, the Chinese badminton team should tackle their challenges by strengthening training and creating more technics. In order to accomplish these, finding related theories to support the research becomes essential. In this essay, studies are done through the following ways: analyzing data from Excel (and other software), reading related documentations, observing VCR, analyzing statistics, interviewing field-related experts, and analyzing logics. The research subject is the technics used in the last two beats of the world top male players. The data are collected from the latest 30 games of Lin Dan, Lee Chongwei, Chen Long, Jorgensen and Axelsen. The following are the findings of this research:1. The world famous male players tend to use pickball in the second to the last beat, then would be drop short. In the last beat, smash the ball is used more frequently than other technics.Chen Long has better defense skills since he is good at using pick-ball。 Jorgensen’s techniques demonstrates the most typical European style, which is a bit rough,drop-short is not what Jorgensen’s good at. Rather, culling is his strength。Lin Dan has good mastery over drop-short, and his pick-ball and clear-ball are more precise.3.In the second to the last beat,it turns out) rect scoring rate is much higher than the/indirect loss rate, which will be totally opposite in the last beat.4.With regard to the indirect scoring rate in the second to the last beat,Lin Dan’ s data are the highest, which means that he has the most efficient beat. Lin Dan is good at making the opponent fail. Jorgensen’ s beat has a high chance to lose point, while Axelsen has a higher scoring rate in the last beat rather than the second to the last.5.Drop spike is the effective means to gain points in the last two beats, culling has a high rate of scoring in the last beat rather than the second to the last because it will give the opponent a deadly hit. If players use middle-smash, the chance of losing points is much higher in the last beat than the second to the last.6.Pick-ball is the most frequently used technique with regard to drop-short. Back-smash is frequently used to deal with pick-ball,stance is very beneficial in dealing with pushing-ball。pushing is effective to defend block the ball. To tackle with clear ball, back-smash is a good strategy. Drop short is used more to deal with back-drop spike。Lastly, block the ball is helpful in dealing with back-smash.7. The direct scoring rate is the highest, while unforced errors also take a great proportion. The forced errors are influential to the loss of points. Axelsen wins more by offensive points. Lin Dan has the lowest rate of errors and better defensive skills. Li Chongwei is not good at maintaining the stability of mastering his techniques.
