"It takes ten years to grow trees,but a hundred years to rear people". Education is a basis of national prosperity. Currently, the curriculum reform of basic education in an advanced stage and gradually extended. School politics teachers take the responsibility to lead students to establish a correct outlook on life and values, and it is the backbone of education. During the teaching process, professional quality of teachers has a huge impact on students’ correct and healthy development., "Whom is more learned is my teacher, whom is more righteous is my model" high-quality training of students cannot do without high-quality teachers. Although the professional quality of our school politics teachers show good momentum on the whole, but there are still more or less can not be ignored. Based on previous existing research results, combining with our own investigation and analysis, the thesis is to explore the professional qualities of middle school politics teachers under the background of new courses reform. This paper is divided into five parts:Chapter one is introduction. It summarizes the main issues discussed in the background, current research status, research purposes, significance and methods. It intends to focus on the difficulties and possible innovation and breakthrough herein. Chapter two is to analyze the new requirements of middle school politics teachers’ professional quality under the new curriculum reform. New curriculum starts form knowledge, ability, emotional attitude and value and many other aspects to demand school politics teachers should own:a new teaching philosophy, a firm specializing in sentiment, and constantly update and improve the structure of knowledge, advancing professional skills. Third chapter is mainly to analyze the current professional quality status of Middle School Teacher. Through the random sample survey of several secondary schools in Xinyang and Zhumadian regions, researching from professional character, professional knowledge, professional competence and multi-dimensional to find there still exists some problems and the shortages about school politic teachers’ professional quality. Chapter four is about the causes of the problems about middle school politics teacher professional quality. Under the new Curriculum Reform, with the big impact of market economy and the huge pressure of pursuiting enrollment rate, some school politics teachers’professionalism, responsibility gradually decline, there are also some ideological and political teachers lacking in motivation for self-improvement and external learning, poor communication platform has caused the professional quality of teachers in middle school politics can not be further improved. Chapter five is mainly to discusse the middle school political teachers’ professional quality promotion measures. First, update school politics teaching ideas to improve the professional sentiment. Second, school politics teachers should update new knowledge, expand horizons of knowledge. Third, under the new Curriculum Reform, effectively improve school politics teacher teaching integrated skills. This article illustrates how middle school politics teachers improve their professional quality from these four aspects:the reform of teaching methods, the art of enhancing teaching language, the capability of enhancing curriculum development and the capacity of enhancing information technology. Fourth, further improve the management incentives of school politics teachers’ enhancing the professional quality. Discussion is mainly from two aspects:strengthening school management incentives and strengthening the government management incentive mechanism, so as to promote the professional quality of middle school politics teachers.
