As the process of globalization continues to accelerate, the diversity of politics, culture and values has had a great impact on college students, which makes many of them gradually loss the right, rational values, and even led to serious problem like weakening of the Marxist ideology, anxiety for quick success and so on. Exploring the path of educating and guiding students to faithfully implement the socialist core values, and leading them to form their own correct outlook on life and values are the primary responsibility and glorious mission facing the higher education in China, core value is the most essential and defining part in the value system of a country or a nation, it supports and influences all the value judgements, and so it may be a summarization of the development of human history and the road to the future.undergraduates have been educated and influenced by the traditional attitude that they pay more attention to the loyalties and do not care about their profits. And the socialist market economy brought the big change of the contemporary college students is enormous, which prompted the college students’ideology and the change of the values, so it is particularly important to cultivate college students’socialist core values.So far, the number of Independent Colleges nationwide (excluding private colleges and universities) has reached 275, accounting for 10.77 percent of all the colleges and universities in China. First, Many independent colleges have long laid the greatest emphasis on students’academic study, CET, employment rate and so on. What’more, in recent years, coupled with the country’s economic slowdown, students are facing increasingly serious employment situation. As a result, the personnel training of independent colleges has become more practical, and the ideological and political education is often "step by step" and formalistic, which caused many problems in the process of cultivating the students’ socialist core values. Furthermore, attributing to the College Entrance Examination Scores, family economic situation, psychological quality, parental attention and other reasons, there must be many great differences between the ordinary college students and independent Colleges students. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis of the basic individual quality conditions of independent college students is vitally important for strengthening the path of education aimed at constructing socialist core values.According to the comparative survey of characteristics of values between the ordinary college students and the independent college students, the Education of Values in Independent Colleges must be changed, and the related concepts must be adjusted. It is totally wrong to simply believe that there is no difference between the value education system of independent colleges and the general one by simply copying the general educational theory. We must design a unique educational system in line with the characteristics of Independent College Students’ Values and make it more suitable for the positioning and programs of the independent college personnel training. Only in this way can we find the right path of cultivating and constructing independent college students’ socialist core values.
