Influence Of New Media For Students’ Patriotism Education And Countermeasures

Patriotism is not only a fundamental obligation of Chinese citizens, but also the citizens’ basic code of ethics. As an important part of the ideological and political education, college students’ patriotism education in the educational programs of the University occupies a crucial position, not only about the healthy growth of the students themselves, but also to the future and destiny of the party and state, the success or failure of socialist construction, the revival of China, and it plays an irreplaceable role in uniting people of all nationalities a common struggle to build a socialist harmonious society Therefore, strengthening patriotic education of college students is the inevitable requirement of realizing Chinese Dream and building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Currently, with the rapidly development of information technology, new media has widely infiltrated into all aspects of society and it has an noticeable impact on people’s lives, study and work. As an important application of the new media, college students having ideological pluralism, sharp thinking, open personality, behavior independent and other features, it carrying the hopes of the country, the future of the nation, it also is the mainstay of socialist construction. Facing the rapid rising of new media, the characteristics of college students like to try new technology to make them dependent on the new media. Nowadays, new media has been tightly integrated with college students, lives together, whether Weibo, WeChat, QQ, or Post Bar, search engines, Credulity and SNS, reflecting the contemporary Students, unique their lifestyle and behaviors.Emergence of new media bringing new modes for the students ’life and study, providing a new platform for college students to live, and broadening the channels of students’patriotism education. However, we must face up to the negative impact of patriotic education for college students due to the wide application of new media. How to deal with the negative affect of new media, becoming a problem which can not be ignored.This paper discusses the problem as the following aspects:The introduction part, mainly from the background, significance, research status and research ideas and methods of the three aspects to elaborate.The first part briefly introduces the concept of the new media and patriotic education of college students, mainly related to the meaning and characteristics of the new media, as well as the meanings and the necessity of Students’ Patriotism.The second part describes the positive impact of new media on the students’ patriotism education produced by the literature, analysis and other methods, mainly for the five areas, such as ensuring the timeliness of the patriotic education of college students, enriching the educational resources, broadening the communication channels, enhancing the effect of education and strengthening the subjectivity of college students and so on.The third part discusses the negative impact of the new media which is widely used in college students, it expounds by desalinating patriotism, challenging the dominance of educators, assaulting the traditional education model and making the patriotic education environment more complex aspects.The fourth part detailing how to strengthen the students’ patriotism education in the new media environment, mainly from four aspects to expand:media regulation, expand the channels, culture Feelings as well as college students should pay attention to cultivate feelings of self-education.
