Research On The Phenomenon Of "3S Lady"

Nowadays, while influenced by comprehensive factors, such as social politics, economy and culture, during the period of social transformation in China, a crowd of unmarried females named“3S lady” exist in the city. According to the national census data, the amount of unmarried female over 27 grows from 3.28 million in 2000 to 15.159 million in 2010, increased of 362%, and 33.72 million by 2020 and the number is increasing still. The research on this phenomenon is conducive to social sustainable development, the improvement of population structure, and it is good to improve “3S lady’s marriage concept, maintaining family stability and avoiding “fear of marriage”and “flash marriage and flash divorce”.Taking “3S lady” in Changchun financial industry as samples, this paper deeply analyze the current situation and reason through questionnaire survey and interview invitation, accessing to detail data. Via the theories on Becker Marriage Market, Complementary Demand, Mating Gradient,the author reveals the increasing amount of “3S lady”. The analysis found that "3S lady" requires higher character match, the stable concept of “strong man with a weak woman”, and growing independent life with the improvement of female economic status.These characteristics fully reflect the influence to “3S lady” with the diversity of politics, economy, culture in China. Finally, this paper suggests to build the individual, family, and social linkage mechanism, making full use of the new media, such as network, expanding friends circle, building marriage concept of “3S lady”strongly, to solve the marriage problem quickly and efficiently.
