Research On The Support System Of College Students With Financial Difficulties

With the development of economic system reform and the higher education reform,higher education in our country has already gradually towards the “popularity” stage.According to John Stone’s theory of education cost sharing, part of the cost of higher education will be borne by the student and the family. But at present, our country is in the complex period, which improved socialist market economic system gradually, changed socialist sector of economy, organizational form, employment modes, interest relationship and mode of distribution constantly. It will need time to eliminate the urban-rural differences and regional differences. Regional economic development imbalance caused some college students can not afford tuition fees and living expenses. Poor students have become a special group which can not be ignored in the university. Therefore, how to support poor students and how to solve the cost problems has become a social hot spot. For this purpose, through the efforts of the government, universities and the society, they established a political system which can coexist with National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, National Grants, State Loan, Normal students of free-education, the part-time job, Tuition waiver and so on. The system solved the practical problems of poor college students to a great extent.There are not ideal aspects in the system during the practical process. And the current funding system also revealed some disadvantages. Hence it will has an important practical significance,which construct and perfect this system, and help poor students overcome poverty both materially and spiritually, and realize comprehensive well development.This thesis takes the breakthrough point which is the funded system for college students with financial difficulties in China. Then study the history and present situation by research achievements at domestic and overseas, and analysis problems of current China’s funding system for poor college students. Finally, the thesis raised the countermeasures and suggestions on building and improving China’s support system of college students in with financial difficulties. Thus it will provides the theory basis and the practice instruction to really help students to which accept fair higher education, move towards jobs successfully,and promote social harmonious development.
