The Research On The Application Of Cloud Computing In Library Automation System

Since2007,the powerful technical performance and application prospect of cloudcomputing aroused a common concern of the people. Library circle has been made the use ofnew information technology to improve the management and service of library, so it start awave of the application research of cloud computing in library from2009. Regarding this,different people hold different opinions: some persue the cloud computing concept; somedoubt on its applicability; some consider it as a technical concept sensationalization.This paper focuses on the automatic system application of cloud computing in library. Itanalyzes the deficiencies of automatic system in traditional library, the advantages andpotential problems of cloud computing application in library, and illustrate some applyingexamples, on this basis finding out the deep causes and exploring the application of cloudcomputing in library. The last part of this paper put forward a plan for the cloud computingapplication of library automation system.In this plan, including the Library’s strategicpositioning in the revolution; the transition from the traditional library automation system tothe "cloud"; modular applications in library automation systems, and summarizes the risksthat exist in the plan and how to deal with the problems. I believe that withe development ofconcept of cloud computing services, the application of cloud computing in libraryautomation system will be realized.
