Nowadays, the manufacture capability and using quantity of elevator is one of thesymbols of national modernization. Especially, with urban population increase and people’scorporeal life quality have been raised greatly, architecture field develop rapidly. A largenumber of high-rise buildings appear as if bamboo shoots in spring after raining. The elevatorhas been playing a key role in work and daily life. Therefore, the research on elevator is muchmore significant. People never stop study on elevator. On theory, elevator control system hasgone through three phases: they are relay-connector control, PLC control and Computercontrol. In actual engineering designs of our country, PLC is popular applied widely in virtueof its advantage such as high-reliability, excellent anti-jamming ability, strong function,wonderful expansibility and low cost etc.The paper introduces the use of PLC in the elevator control system. A PLC controlsystem for an eight-story elevator was designed as an example to describe how to distributethe I/0interfaces, how to choose the model of PLC, plan the movement of the elevator, anddraw a ladder diagram in details. The hardware platform of an elevator control system is builtwith two sets eight-story elevator system model and Rockwell Automation Company’s controlsystem which contains PLC, ControLogix5000, Rockwell Automation three-level industrycontrol net and remote I/O etc. At the same time a kind of human-machine interface is madeby FactoryTalk View Studio. It was certified that the elevator with the PLC control system hasall the functions expected. Such as: selecting the directions and making the door switchautomatically, automatic landing, call memory etc. To acquire favorable comfort, the startingand braking curves design of the elevator is composed of two s-curves and one beeline.Through adjusting the acceleration time and that of the s-curves, ideal starting and brakingcurves are gained.With the rapid development of society,even two elevators were not enough to meet theneed,so how to make the elevator group work concordantly was an exigent problem toresearch. This paper proposes and designs a muti-objective elevator group control algorithm based on the time-stage&experience traffic-flow. It achieves the dispatching of elevatorgroup control optimization.
