Research On Visual Properties Of Spatial Frequency And Their Application

Visual properties of spatial frequency refer to the nature of spatial frequencypeople have and there have been many achievements such as Contrast SensitivityFunction, Receptive Field and Visual Multi-frequency Channel Theory, the paper triesto study the visual properties of spatial frequency and their application, hoping theresearch in this paper can perfect the existing cognitive model in the field of spatialfrequency.The main content of the paper is as follows:1. Explore a new method for the study of spatial frequency properties on the basisof previous studies, give a defination of "absolute spatial frequency" and "absolutesensitivity function", besides, the paper discusses the influence of the absolutesensitivity made by distance and eyesight.2. Reexplain the visual imaging process using Abbe theory of image informationand find the effect of myopia is equal to a low-pass filter which can be representedwith a negative exponential function; expalin the phenomenons that the blur of visualeffect and the shape of contrast sensitivity function and visual effect of hybrid imageswill change for people who is myopic.3. Study the change of relative position of the contrast sensitivity function andhybrid images’s spatial frequency when viewing distance increases and find the effectof increased distance is equal to a low-pass filter; explain why the visual effect ofhybride images will change with the changing viewing distance using this theory.4. Calculate the absolute spatial frequency distribution of pictures after and beforethe translation and rotation, the fact that there is no difference before and aftertransaction can explain that translation invariance and rotational invariance, besides,the paper explains visual scale invariance using the theory of dynamic receptivefields.The paper perfects the research about the visual properties of spatial frequency,qualitatively analyses the visual effect distance and eyesight make to vision systemand explains some visual phenomenons which can not be explained perfectly before,this proves the computability and correctness of the theory about saptial frequency,the reaearch in this paper is significant to the further studies.
